He began his musical studies at the age of seven, finishing them at the Royal Conservatory of Music of Madrid, obtaining the Final Year Honor Award for Saxophone.

Later he took advanced courses with professors Claude Delangle, Jean-Marie Londeix, Nobuya Sugawa, Arno Bornkamp and Serge Bichon among others.

He has given recitals, solo concerts and master-classes in Spain, Germany, Italy, France, United Kingdom, Slovenia, Holland, Poland, Denmark, Portugal, Argentina, United States and Canada.

He was selected by Selmer Paris for the "1er Tremplin Jeunes 2002-2003". Scholarship for which only four European saxophonists were chosen.

In 2005 he had the opportunity to collaborate with Karlheinz Stockhausen for the recording of Knabenduett together with Julien Petit, in the scope of the recording of the complete works of the German composer begun in 1991 and supervised by the maestro himself (cd n.78, ed. Stockhausen).

In 2014 he participated as a member of the jury of the VI Adolphe Sax International Competition.

He has been a professor at the Higher Conservatory of the Basque Country (MUSIKENE) between 2012-2015.

Currently he is a saxophone professor at the Higher Conservatory of Music of Castilla-La Mancha.

 

He has received the following awards:

- 1st prize in the II International Competition for Young Soloists -Category B- (up to 19 years old) in 1995.

- 1st prize in category A (up to 25 years old), and the Special Prize of the III International Saxophone Competition for Young Soloists (1996).

- 2nd prize and the Special Prize (for the best saxophonist under 20 years old), in the IV International Saxophone Competition "Villa de San Juan" (1997).

- 1st Prize in the I Saxophone Competition "Villa de Benidorm", Held in February 1999.

- 1st prize at the XIV Music Competition "Pacem in Terris" (2001), in Bayreuth, Germany.

- 3rd prize and Special Prize of the Province of Liège at the III Adolphe Sax International Competition in Dinant (Belgium) (2002).

- 2nd Prize in the IV Adolphe Sax International Competition (2006).

- 1st Prize in the 1st Yamaha Competition for saxophone quartets, with the “Octavia” Quartet

- 2nd Prize in the Pedro Bote International Competition, in 2009, with the “Octavia” Quartet

- 1st Prize in the “Mirabemt i Magrans” Chamber Music Competition, in 2011, with the “Octavia” Quartet
